Information about cycling in the Ötztal
Crunchy routes and enjoyable laps
Whether a relaxed tour of the hut with a Kaiserschmarrn reward or a crisp route with collecting altitude meters - we are committed to the Ötztal flag to offer everyone an unforgettable bike experience on two wheels. And we do that on a network of over 850 km of signposted, varied MTB routes. |
for example
Tour to the Wenderkogel You bike beautifully on forest roads through the forest into the Fundus Valley. From the Alm, which is managed in the summer months, you climb the last 250 meters on foot with a little climbing to the 2,220 meter high Wenderkogel.
Nederkogel The 3000er Nederkogl is best approached by bike before the grueling ascent follows on foot. You bike 750 meters uphill from Sölden with a steady incline and then enjoy the panorama with a direct view of the Timmelsjoch on the sun terrace of the Lenzenalm (1,896 m). Take a deep breath, strengthen yourself and then tackle the 1,200-meter ascent to the 3,163-meter-high Nederkogel. A sweaty, but sensationally beautiful tour!
Sölden glacier road If you want to collect superlatives, you shouldn't forget the glacier road to the Rettenbachferner, because it leads to the highest point in the Alps that can be reached by racing bike at 2,830 m. |
